Michael Mandelstam has worked in the field of health and social care for nearly 40 years.

For the past 25 years, he has provided independent training.

Previous to that he worked for some years within the Social Services Inspectorate at the Department of Health.

Before that, he worked for ten years at the Disabled Living Foundation.

Qualifications include postgraduate qualifications in Law, in the History of Science and Medicine, and in Information Studies.

He was a member of an advisory group to the Law Commission during its work on what became the Care Act 2014.

And has written many legal books over the last three decades.

He played a key role in a local community campaign to prevent closure of local health services in part of Suffolk.
