A sobering recent ombudsman investigation, involving Windsor and Maidenhead council, considers pressure/skin care, an adult in need being left in degrading circumstances, a care agency providing poor and truncated care, safeguarding concerns not being raised or not being acted on, inadequate safeguarding investigations being carried out, an absence of conclusions and action. And so on. A disheartening read, but all the more important for that?
